Laundry Room Makeover

A few months ago I finally re-did my laundry room.   Nothing over the top, just a simple makeover.

Here is a before pic:

It had some wire shelving...very plain and ugly over all.

Here is the after:

I still don't like the pipe running down, but over all it is alot cleaner looking and more attractive.
I don't even think the pic does it justice.  I painted using my leftover Comfort Gray, put up inexpensive shelving and a few decorations. We also replaced our washer and dryer.

Paper Dolls

I found this website for old paper dolls from the 50's and 60's!  My mom remembers cutting them out from McCall's magazine!
They are adorable.  Just print out on cardstock and cut out.

My girls are loving them!!!

A Healthier Family and a new recipe!

As this new year begins I continue on my journey for a healthier family.  Most of it falls on my shoulders which at times can be stressful, yet I will continue on!  I am trying to slowly switch over to getting out most of the processed foods in our home.
This takes homework and time.  My goal is to take Saturday's maybe and bake all day. Homemade breads, muffins, etc. and prepare other meals.  I am also educating myself on the art of sales and couponing.
At times again, overwhelming, but I know with God all things are possible! ;-)  He is giving me the wisdom...He will provide the grace.

My verse for the month is Psalms 1:2-3:

2-They delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
3-They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.  Their leaves never wither and they prosper in all they do.

If I am a lover of God's word, I will prosper in all I do.

Also a recipe for you...I just tried it and it was a hit!

3 whole eggs
2 tsp. vanilla

It's been awhile....

Been awhile since I last posted...alot has gone on since then..mainly our move.
I've been enjoying the new house and country living!

Recently I painted a wall in the kitchen with black chalkboard paint. The kids are loving it!  I want the house to look clean and orderly, but also want it to be fun.    Anyone else have an experience with chalkboard paint yet?

Love,Love,LOVE!

This is a random, short post but I just have to write about how much I LOVE Amazon!!!!  I'm sure I'm not the only one!  I think it is the homeschooling mom's best friend.   I can find almost any and every book and then some!   What a time saver not to have to go out and run around everywhere to get the things I need.
So, I just had to tell you Amazon.....I think I'm in love ;-)

The House Work is a Call'n

Oh, the never ending housework that plagues us all!  I've got alot of it to do..trying to think of some things that may help encourage me along in the process.
Open the windows...It's actually a very nice day.
Light some candles..they smell good and I like how they look!
Play some music.
Just a few things I think i'm going to do to motivate.

Anything that motivates you to clean when you don't feel like it?
