Circumstances Don't Change

I don't know why, but it's taken me quite awhile to realize  circumstances don't change!  I keep hoping they will change so I can do the things I'd like to do such as "exercise and eat better."    I keep hoping I'll just feel more energetic or have more time....but how many of you know it just doesn't work out that way.     The energy never just comes. Time just never falls in your lap(especially with little ones around).........You have to make the decision even though you are exhaused and don't have "time" you have to make it and do it anyways or it will NEVER get done.
You have to create the life you want because it will never happen if you don't make the changes.
So with that said...exercise...done today! (yea! 1 day down a lifetime to go).  I fit it in because I have to or I'll never be the person I need and want to be.     I hope I can purpose to continue this and make time for myself........I need to take care of me too!

There are many areas in my life this applies to....exercise,home,relationships,etc...  Anyone else have an area you've decided you were not happy with so you are changing it?

Tuesday is Ironing Day

It's Tuesday....I'm going to make it ironing day(we'll see how this goes!)                                         Anyone who knows me really well knows I dread ironing and that my hubby usually does most of it himself!  I know, I know, poor baby. How could I dare let my husband iron his own shirts?!
Well, one way I know I could be a help and show him love is to do this very dreaded thing!
It's interesting in marriage how the things YOU think are most important to do are not always the most important to your spouse.  I remember a conversation awhile ago where I found out the chores my husband loved when I got done... things I usually put off.....ironing,trash,making the bed, piles of laundry (what's left right???)

The point is taking the time to set aside what you always want done to see what the most important man in your life likes done.  What ways can you bless him today?  It may not even be a "house thing" it may be saying sweet words or a note of encouragment......so many ways to express our love and appreciation!

So that's why today is ironing day.........this one's for you babe!!! ;-)

Monday,Wash Day

So I'm going to make this Monday wash day(and hopefully keep Monday as wash day.)  The goal is to get all laundry washed, dried, folded and put away for the week with exception of anything that needs to be ironed.   I'm going to go get the many loads of laundry and bring them all down to get started. Will do other chores while everythings in process.
Christmas stuff still needs to get put away......that is a huge chore in and of itself!  The Christmas decor is always so pretty and cozy looking, but it's nice to get it all down...it makes things feel so fresh, like a clean palette.    Once all the Christmas decor is out of the way my semi-spring cleaning will probably begin.

I should probably just try to focus on today ;-)    Happy Wash day everyone!

All Things New

Hello There! Happy 2011!   A new year means new things right?...so why not blog? Over the past year I've been enjoying many blogs so thought why not have my own? So here I am......so exciting ;-)
I love the thought of a new year. New...who doesn't love something new? I certainly do!  So i'm trying to get myself on a NEW schedule which will take a lot of will power for me to do.  I'm going to get back on track with my quiet time, hopefully exercise, chores, school, etc.   Change is good...I think;-)
Part of this new schedule involves getting more sleep, which as you can see, I'm already botching up. Can't believe it's almost midnight already!!!  Have more to blog but will have to wait for another time.

Night! Thanks for listening and looking forward to more!
